Illegally Placed Campaign Posters in Cebu Turn Down

The Election campaign had just started while candidates for the national and local positions are busying on creating visibility to the public. Most of the higher position candidates have their campaign ads on television, radio, and posters in streets. It is one big way to be able to introduce themselves to the public about their interests in running for public office

In Cebu, illegally-placed campaign paraphernalia like posters, banners and streamers that exceeded the standard size were also taken down. Those posters that are place in prohibited areas like trees, wires, public school buildings are eyed by the COMELEC (Commission on Election) officials. The Cebu Comelec officials starts to look and take down down illegally-place campaign materials from provincial capitol down to Basilica del Sto. Nino.

This is a good move by comelec officials here in Cebu because posting of campaign materials in non-designated areas may contribute street accident. Like if posters are placed wires, it might fall down and hit pedestrian. It is best to look on the welfare and benefit of the public before placing those campaign materials. Good Job!!!
